Do You Care to Cover Others' Faults?

Amal: Assalamualaykum Aliyaaah! Oh my God! Oh my God! I really missed you baby!

Aliyah: Waalaykumsalamwarahmatullah Amaaaal! Wow, look at how you hello me, seemed like we haven't meet for years, aren't we in the same class Amal? But anyways, I missed you too!! Gimme hug! Oh my God!

Amal: Hey, come on, that's how we rock, don't pretend like you never did! Remember how you always shouted like I was a mile from you, Ya Amal! Ya Amal! I feel like to hide and hope that no body knows who's that Amal, haha. Er Aliyah, actually I don't know, whether I should tell you about this thing or not, hmm

Aliyah: About what Amal? Something to share? Just spill it out, doll.

Amal: I was on my way to school and I bumped on Lilly, but she did something that..

Aliyah: Ops!! Stop there! I think If I don't know what she did, it won't harm either me or you in any ways, so just ignore it. Lets stop talking about others, you know it better then me Amal. You know what, last night I attended a lecture on covering others disgrace, so I wanna share with you about the story  of Caliph  Umar Abd Aziz and his son, Abd Malik Umar Abd Aziz, it's an astonishing story. Even they are father and son, they never practice very well on covering others disgrace. So here we go. Umar bin Abdul Aziz was appointed as Caliph, after the death of Caliph Addul Malik bin Sulaiman. As he heard about the appointment, he feel like a huge and heavy burden was put on him, so he gathered all of his people. Umar bin Abdul Aziz stood up and said,

"Oh Muslimin, surely this appointment is not based on discussions with me ... not even meet with the Muslims .. I withdraw allegiance, the Bai'ah on your neck ... take back this position because I do not want to .. "

Then the public replied  "We're not pleased but thou, Oh Umar bin Abdul Aziz became the Commander of the Faithful, be our leader"

After the funeral of Caliph Sulaiman, 'Umar bin Abdul Aziz was to go back his home. While on his way, he heard the sound vehicles came towards him. He saw the arrival of the guards and a great army that will surround the caliph with a special vehicle for approaching his inheritors.

So Umar bin Abdul Aziz asked "Why did you bring this?".

The Controller replied, "This vehicle is for the Caliph, oh Umar bin Abdul Aziz."

Umar bin Abdul Aziz said, " I'm one of the ordinary men among the Muslims .. bring back all of this and return to the Baitul Maal .. and if you want to work then go to work in the government and if you want to go on leave, please .. I like the way as an ordinary people "

After arriving at the house, 'Umar bin Abdul Aziz was about to take a break, because he's really tired after managing the body of Sulaiman Bin Abdul Malik earlier.

Then the son of Umar bin Abdul Aziz asked him "Where are you going, father?".

Umar bin Abdul Aziz replied  "My son, your father wants to sleep for a while, because he's exhausted."

Then his son asked, "Why don't you start work on returning the rights of those who being oppressed?"

Umar bin Abdul Aziz said, "Give your father a chance to rest."

His son said, "O my father ... who can guarantee that you will live after this? and when this right is claimed upon God Almighty?"

Amal: Wow he's definitely a very smart kid! Then what's his response?

Aliyah: Yes he is! His son is said to have been dragged Umar bin Abdul Aziz into a very moderate person. So, Umar bin Abdul Aziz immediately rose up and kissed him,he felt so grateful and said "Praise be to Allah who has gives me son like you, ya Abdul Malik bin Umar Bin Abdul Aziz."

When Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz grown ups, he is living in the area of country which is so close to the border to see the movement of military forces and participate in the army's activities to open Islamic territories.

Umar bin Abdul Aziz was incredibly loves his son Abdul Malik. One day, Umar bin Abdul Aziz heard people say that his son was a little proud of himself. He was uncomfortable. Then Umar bin Abdul Aziz called the people of Mihrad. He said, "O Maimun, my son has been graced my eyes. Everything is beautiful in my eyes. I worry if my love to him has makes me can not see the flaws of my son. Therefore go to him because people said my son has a little pride in him. Check this for me. "

Amal: What? That couldn't be happened, Abd Malik is so pious, he won't be snobbish!

Amal: Yeah you surely an impatient listener! Lemme finish the story Amal. Then, Maimun went to meet him near the border of the country. From far away he saw a young man who is very good-looking, young, very polite and full of beautiful manners. His bed is very common mat beside an ordinary foods.

Maimun then approaching the son of Umar bin Abdul Aziz and asked, "How did you get food every day ya Abdul Malik?"

Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz said, "Alhamdulillah, the food is halal. I worked on the land given by my father and sisters .. "

Maimun see him  impressively. Then the son of Umar bin Abdul Aziz said something about father.

"I worry if my father's love to me, has caused him could not see my flaws". Maimun very impressed because Umar bin Abdul Aziz said as her son said to himself.

Until suddenly came the owner of Hamman and give Abd Malik the key.

Amal: Wait, Hammam? What's that, I never heard of it.

Aliyah: Hammam is the public home of hot water bath.

Amal: Ok, I've got it. Please go ahead

Aliyah: Maimun then asked Abd Malik "For what is the key?"

He answers, "For me to go and have my shower at public hot water bath."

The shop owner said "I have withdrawn all the people and you can go take a bath"

Maimun said, "I really admire you, until I saw this thing"

Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz asked "Was it a sin?"

Maimun said "Why did you withdrawn the public for your bath ? Did you feel proud because you are the caliph? "

Said Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz " I'm not proud. but I have pay the shop owner for every one's fee "

"You're wasting! Why don't you take a bath with other people? "said Maimun.

"No, I do not waste, but they are villagers. Sometimes they do not care to cover their body properly. It's hard for me and if I have commented, they would say I am arrogant. It is not good to force them to follow me, so I ask the shop owner for the price, I paid for them and they leave me to take my bath. "

Maimun said, "You are arrogant .. why don't you wait? You can wait until all the people finished bathing. Why do you want to waste? Are you trying to show that you have more money then others?"

Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz said, "Astaghfirullah hal 'azim..Oh Maimun, I promise I will not repeat this mistake. I will repent to Allah for I have this sign of pride. "

Then said Maimun "How I'm going to report this to your father?" Maimun tried to test Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz.

Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz said, "You say to my father that you have seen something bad about me. You have advised me and I accept your advice and I repent to Allah and I promise to never repeat it. "

Maimun asked "What if your father asked me what tthe bad thing you did?"

Abdul Malik bin Umar bin Abdul Aziz said, "No .... My father would not asked.Because my father knew that God tells us to cover the disgrace and dishonor of anyone, my father will not ask anyone, including her son because there was no need for it. "

Maimun was once again amazed of Umar bin Abd Aziz and his son Abdul Malik because of their piety on Allah.

That was brilliant right? Abd Malik is his son, yet he never wanna know the disgrace of his own son, as long as he's get repent. Did you remember this hadith?

“If a person covers the disgrace of another in this world, Allah will cover their disgrace in the hereafter.” (Muslim)

Amal: Subhanallah, yes and this one too Aliyah :

“Whoever protects the respect of his brother (in islam), Allah will protect his face from the Fire of the Day of Resurrection.” [Tirmidhi]

They're so unbelievable devoted caliphs! I admired them so much and thanks Aliyah for such wonderful story. But I think you get me wrong, I found Lilly and she did something that's so amazing! She feeds the hungry puppy at the side road!

Aliyah: Oh my God Amal, why should you wait until I finished my pep talk to tell me about this?

Amal: Hahaha, because I couldn't help it, I can see the burning flame in your eyes and you don't even give me a chance to finish my line! Ok, anyways I thank you for such an inspiring story Aliyah, oh gimme hug!

Aliyah: Cool! but you owed me a story, tomorrow is your turn.

Trampoline of Muslims and Pagan symbols

Google Image: Pagan symbols

Aliyah: Hey Amal, did you know this is the symbol of illuminaty?

Amal: What? Are you referring to my necklace? It's just a triangle shape and with an A for my name, what a big deal?

Aliyah: Look Amal, if you love Allah and the Prophet, we must avoid this kind of pagan symbol, did you remember "The Arrival" series, we watched together on fb last time? It's such an eye opening documentary! You know it, and why don't you pick like maybe a moon shape as your necklace, with an  A in the middle and a diamond around it, that would be awesome.

Amal: Oh yeah, I am so familiar with awesomeness Aliyah and what a brilliant idea! Now, you should go and tell my mom that she'd bought the wrong necklace for her only beautiful child and even it may cause thousand bucks, she should buy me the new one!

Aliyah: You are such a great script writer ever! Ok don't take my words. I don't have guts to throw that to your mom.

Amal: and you are such a gorgeous paranoia I ever met on earth! I better get off before you start your pep talk on how-illuminaty-has-control-the-world theory again.

Aliyah: You give me one more mental chauvinistic comment and I'm gonna spread your gossip with Adam to the class.

Amal:  Oh! I'm so scare now! Boooo! and what with that iPhone 4G related with Israel and their motto Gold, Glory, God and Girl thing? Perhaps I can accept that Justin and Lady Gaga with the movement, but iPhone? Are you serious? I'm going mental with such fact and oh! Upin and Ipin, that cute little twin cartoon is the Jewish agenda because  of their first alphabet, 'I' is for Israel and 'U' is for USA? are you serious Aliyah?

Aliyah: Well. it's not what I'm saying it's 'the arrival' or maybe other investigation agency.

Amal: Oh so pathetic! Yes I have to admit that Illuminaty is not an alien term for Muslim anymore, I reckon that 1 of 10 Muslims know or at least used to hear about it.  At the beginning, I feel positive when we started to aware of the pagan movement and that all began to sensitive with the pagan elements . But then, I noticed in this regard. People began to paranoid like you did just now Aliyah.  It may give a bad impact or fitnah to the da'wah movement. So, lets sit down for a while and reflect.

Aliyah: What? Don't tell me you gonna start your pep talk on this now.

Amal: Well, just listen or perhaps you should record, then re-listen to it when you are at home and write an article on this for the next edition of our school's magazine!

Aliyah: Oh please Amal, just go ahead.

Amal: Look, you spread the message about illuminati and Freemasons and such messages, you transmitted to people by matching the verses like "For those who love Islam, this is a new invention ...." or "Note, if you love Allah and the Prophet, this is the fact the enemy of the sons of our agenda ..." and "If we love Islam, never a fan of ...." You know what?

Aliyah: What?! Just say it Amal.

Amal: This is a form of Paranoid. Let say if person that do not understand Islam hear about it, and said:'This is crazy to understand Islam'. This will cause a fitnah on how comprehensive and authentic Islamic message is. Adverse impact of the paranoia of the Freemasons and the Illuminati is, we construct the following formula: Freemasons and Illuminati are the only pagan or in arabic we call as Jahiliyyah. What is the harm of this formula?

Aliyah: Hm no idea!

Amal: Well, we conclude that the only pagan(Jahiliyyah) is Freemasons and Illuminati. Even worse, whatever the sign of 'possible' that is the Freemasons and the Illuminati, then it is pagan to us,like when you saw, I'm wearing the triangle necklace. We are so sensitive to the symbols of Illuminati and Freemason. Even the symbol of Awakening Records-the recording company to Maher Zain and SAmi Yusuf, that was shaped as a pyramid was connected with Freemason and Illuminati. Look how far this madness goes. Maybe after this, if the symbols appear on anyone else, we will continue to stamp it with Jewish agency, and so on without checking. We are too paranoid until we feel an urge to remove the agents of the Illuminati and Freemason, but we start to loose attention on another form of pagan. We boycott Lady Gaga and Justin, but at very same time we also interested in other form of pagan and  celebrities love's story? We busy accused, Upin and Ipin because of what they have, but still indulged in other anime and pagan cartoons.

Aliyah: oh yeah, I have the same feeling as you smashed my nose now. I think I begin to see your points. So next?

Amal: So Aliyah, the actual formula we should look is: Freemasonry and Illuminati is only part of a pagan. We are the servants of God Almighty and we should reject ALL form of pagan not just Freemasonry and  Illuminati, which is only part of the pagan. Pagan is worse and paranoid retard our struggle. We give great attention to the Freemason and Illuminati because we saw how they managed to 'cover up' the world of design, such as The Arrivals.

In fact, the pagan is greater than the Freemason and Illuminati. Jahiliyyah, has embraces the world. Aliyah, keep busy exploring the mysteries of Freemasonry and Illuminati did not give us victory. Busy sending a message like do-not-support-the-son-of-so-and-so because he is Freemason and Illuminati agent will not give us victory. We are busy with things that are not important. We are busy with things that really we are not able to control it. Finally, we forget our priority. Have we ever asked ourselves after we posted: "Wow, this all seems so Freemason?" After that what? In fact we may contribute to the victory of pagan. Because we are too busy in their conspiracy and we think that they would never be able to win us. In fact, the pagan is still ruining our society and we are busy running in endless circles.

Aliyah: Ok, take a breath Amal! I can see you are suffocating.

Amal: Ok, I'm cool, I'm cool. Now lets look in a larger screen. We know that nothing would happen without Allah's permission even if it's the plan of Illuminaty or freemason; Allah Plans was the greatest one. After we know the fact about Illuminaty we begin to say: "Oh! This happened because of their plan, they're bloody successful on their plans, blah, blah, blah". Can you see that? and if we understand the matter, the pagan, whether Freemason and Illuminati or not, we will avoid all. We will not picky: "Oh, that's not the Freemasons, we can follow." We will never paranoid. We will have a clean mind, in dealing with the great pagan. We will understand what we should matter and what we shouldn't.

Aliyah: You are real debater after all Amal. So what we should do?

Amal: Oh thanks Aliyah! First of course, start with yourself, then people around us and to the public. Invites all to undergo the process Tarbiyah Islamiyyah as the Prophet's companions. Back to  Al-Quran and Sunnah.Take Islam as a total, and totally rejects Jahiliyyah. We learn from the Illuminati and the Freemasons that noise alone will not change anything. Learn from what we see in the Arrivals. If you believe with all the conspiracies, although I would not say it all true, but what I have to be refined are the movements of the Illuminati and the Freemasons. How they vary their tactics, and magically, all of their tactics are subtle. They do not simply barking- Leave Islam, Faith-in-Allah is no longer relevant, let commit adultery, or lets Default to God - which is if they do so, nobody will go to them, but all will be too busy looking for what is Islam.

Aliyah: Agreed!

Amal: So,where is our priority? Our mission? Have we invited people around us to Islam? Our neighbour? Classmates? House-mates? Our friend that seats next to us in the class? Even the most simple have we been preaching on Islam? Or do we only know to make noise?

Merely the Illuminati and Freemason message, will not be overthrowing pagan. In fact, the situation will be reversed. People follow the message, and all sense of the struggle was finished only with noise. While the pagan continue to devour more victims and expand their territory.

Just lets stop this Aliyah. This is a fitnah and shows ignorance. Stop the spreading messages, everything associated with the Illuminati and Freemason.

Aliyah: So you are telling me that it is wrong for me to know about this Amal?

Amal: Oh don't get me wrong darling! I like to study as well. I am happy with such exposure, it's feel like when we manage to know the top secret of our enemy. It is good to know but the benefits should be extracted, that which may enables the nation returned to the Al-Quran and Sunnah, which may brought them back to Islam, which gives them a strategy to oppose Jahiliyyah, did not cause fitnah and not just like: "Yes! we have successful exposed the Jewish agenda," but at the same time, Jews continue their mission with pleasure and satisfaction.

We should 'beat' the pagan, 'beat' them Aliyah. Not just 'scream' on them. And no one is even proven way to handle pagan, but the way of preaching and tarbiyah performed by the Prophet.

Aliyah: You sound so "Amal"! Yeah, my vision is as clear as crystal now, I will stop the paranoia and start spreading the beauty of Islam.

Amal: What? Are you expecting me to sound like Samantha Booke in "The Great Debaters"? Anyway, you are the fastest digester I ever found on earth Aliyah!

Aliyah: Wait, did you mean that I'd beat you? hahaha

Amal: Whatever! You are mental Aliyah and need a proper treatment at my mom's hospital.

Aliyah: That was so cruel Amal, you're hurting me. I'm so normal and beautiful you know that.

Amal: You asked for it. Yes, you look normal until they get to know you :P

Aliyah: You are such a messed, Amal!!

So this image is really similar to Amal and Aliyah :)

Feel free to share

Where is Allah?

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with ALLAH, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....
Prof : So you believe in ALLAH?
Student: Absolutely, sir.

Prof: Is ALLAH good?
Student: Sure.

Prof: Is ALLAH all-powerful?
Student: Yes.

Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to ALLAH to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But ALLAH didn't. How is this ALLAH good then? Hmm?
Student is silent.

Prof: You can't answer, can you?
Let's start again, young fellow. Is ALLAH good?
Student: Yes.

Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.

Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...ALLAH. .

Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.

Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And ALLAH did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.

Prof: So who created evil?
Student does not answer.

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.

Prof: So, who created them?
Student has no answer.

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen ALLAH?
Student: No, sir.

Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your ALLAH?
Student: No, sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your ALLAH, tasted your ALLAH, smelt your ALLAH? Have you ever had any sensory perception of ALLAH for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your ALLAH doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof: Yes Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Now the student said can I ask something to you Professor.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.

Student: No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?

Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something.
You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light... But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good ALLAH and a bad ALLAH. You are viewing the concept of ALLAH as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir... The link between man and ALLAH is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving and alive. .

Famous and Fabulous Marriage Ever

It is normal for non-muslim to always has a question about Islam, some ask to find the truth, some ask just to prove that Islam is not true, some ask because they're curious about Islam as they always get the information from media and it is well-known that the media in the west especially always framed Islam as an oppress, force, terror and a fuddy-duddy religion. So, once they meet a muslim, they couldn't help to ask about the popular issues in Islam. I found that, among the famous question is about Prophet SAW marriage. Because Prophet SAW married more than one and he also married one young and brilliant girl, Aisha. They called him Pedophile for that (Astaghfirullahalazim, such a huge fitnah). As we know, the Prophet’s marriages to all of his wives were all decided upon and decreed by Allah who in His Infinite Wisdom chose these ladies to be the Mothers of the Believers (Radiya Allah Anhum). So I would like to focus on Aisha case, where she has got married with prophet SAW at her very young age. There is 3 main points here.

1. Culture and tradition of Arabs
2. Did Aisha felt in a way that she was forced to married Prophet SAW?
3. Did Aisha happy with the marriage or she rebelled?

To start off, we have to remind people that whenever we look at a different culture or a different time period, we need to remove our own social prejudices. It’s not something easy to do, but it needs to be done. As Sheik Hamza Yusuf said, we need to try our best not to superimpose our own traditions and what’s acceptable in our cultures onto other cultures.

Now, let’s try to look at the Prophet’s marriage to Aisha. First of all, we know this happened at least 1,400+ years ago, right? Did you know that before the Prophet proposed to Aisha, she already had another suitor and was engaged? Clearly, then, she was considered old enough to get married and this also show that Aisha was a brilliant girl that because of her sharp mind, she was chosen as prophet's wife, so she could be an intermediate for women's issues. This is hardly surprising especially considering the fact the life span of people was much shorter than today- probably around 60 years if not much less (when you consider all of the wars and such). Childhood just did not last that long. Early on, children were given serious responsibilities. (This still happens today in pre-industrial societies). Thus, whereas, today, a nine year old girl would be considered a child, one thousand and four hundred years ago, she would not have been considered a child, especially if she had had her first menstrual cycle. She would have been considered a woman.

But you don’t have to take my word for it. Let’s look at how people 1,400 years ago viewed the union between Prophet Mohammed and Aisha. Nobody said anything about it. That in, itself, is very significant. The people of Mecca tried their best to smear the reputation of the Prophet, calling him a “liar”, accusing him of being possessed, and never letting an opportunity escape when they could ridicule himYet, not a single Arab ever said anything about the Prophet’s marriage to Aisha. No one felt that it was unordinary or strange. This doesn’t mean that there weren’t some sexual taboos- there were. A person wasn’t supposed to marry his adopted son’s ex-wife, for example. Clearly, then, if they thought his behavior was immoral, they would have spoken up. But they didn’t think there was anything unusual about it.

Maybe you don’t care about what Aisha’s society thought…or that she had been previously engaged. Maybe you think she was still forced into it and had no say…How about we look at Aisha, herself, more closely. Surely if she had felt physically exploited, there would have been something that indicated her anger/ fear/ repulsion…the reality, however, is that all she displayed was love. Even years later, after the Prophet died, she never said anything at all that indicated she felt she was a victim. On the contrary, she was very jealous of the other wives of the Prophet- does that seem like the attitude of a victim? Moreover, she used to ask the Prophet for reassurance about his love. See, the Prophet once described his love to her as a knot- meaning something that could never be broken. Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) would ask him “how is the knot?, essentially wanting reassurance the bond between was as strong as ever.

Maybe you think “Okay, she loved him, but she didn’t know any better…maybe she loved the idea of being a Prophet’s wife or she couldn’t even recognize she was being abused.” Let me make it clear that all of the wives of the Prophet lived very simply. Though the Prophet was the Head of State, they would go many days without food and when they had food, it was the most basic essentials. Thus, there was nothing glamorous about their lives. It was full of hard work and toil. Secondly, Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) was a very intelligent woman, strongly opinionated and capable of thinking for herself. This is very clear in the way she expressed herself. For example, when the Ifk incident happened (when she was accused of having committed adultery), Aisha stood up to her parents and said:

“By Allah, I know that you heard this story (i.e. of Ifk) so much so that it has been planted in your minds and you have believed it. So now, if I tell you that I am innocent, and Allah knows that I am innocent, you will not believe me; and if I confess something, and Allah knows that I am innocent of it, you will believe me…”

This is very articulate and shows a mature mind. The fact that she had very strong opinions is also evident when she stood up against Ali (May Allah be Pleased with both of them). She realized that he was correct, though, and changed her mind afterwards. Still, this proves that she was a strong woman.

Not only that, but it is a well known fact that the Companions used to look up to her and seek her advice and ask her questions on fiqh. Perhaps this was one of the reasons Allah chose her to marry the Prophet - because we needed someone who would live after the Prophet for many years and continue to spread the teachings of Islam.

Whatever the reason was, it should be obvious, then, that the Prophet’s marriage to Aisha was one based on love and mutual respect and that there wasn’t anything strange about her age. If the age difference seems odd, this is because we are taking our own conceptions of what is a normal age difference- this differs from society to society. And from person to person…the Prophet was able to meet the needs and desires of both a woman older than him (Khadijah, his first wife, was 15 years older than him and had already been married 2 times before him) and a woman younger than him (he would race with Aisha and joke with her). Again, we can’t judge a marriage 1,400 years ago with our own modern cultural ideas. Just look at Lady’s Mary’s marriage in the Bible.

The 1913 edition of the Catholic Encylopedia records that Mary, was between 12-14 years of age, when she married Joseph, who was 90 years old and had 6 children. (If you want to read from the Gospel of James about it, see below):

The Infancy Gospel of James, Chapter 8 verse 2 to Chapter 9 verse 11

“When she [Mary] turned twelve, a group of priests took counsel together, saying, ‘Look, Mary has been in the temple of the Lord twelve years. What should we do about her now, so that she does not defile the sanctuary of the Lord our God?’ And they said to the high priest, ‘You have stood at the altar of the Lord. Go in and pray about her. And if the Lord God reveals anything to you, we will do it.’ And the priest went in taking the vestment with twelve bells into the holy of holies and prayed about her. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord stood before him, saying, ‘Zachariah, Zachariah, depart from here and gather the widowers of the people and let each one carry a staff. And the one whom the Lord God points out with a sign, she will be his wife.’ So the heralds went out to the whole surrounding area of Judea and the trumpet of the Lord rang out and all the men rushed in.

Throwing down his axe, Joseph went out to meet them. And after they had gathered together with their rods, they went to the high priest. After receiving everyone’s rod, the high priest went into the temple and prayed. When he was finished with the prayer, he took the rods and went out and gave them to each man, but there was no sign among them. Finally, Joseph took his rod. Suddenly, a dove came out of the rod and stood on Joseph’s head. And the high priest said, ‘Joseph! Joseph! You have been chosen by lot to take the virgin into your own keeping.’ And Joseph replied, saying, ‘I have sons and am old, while she is young. I will not be ridiculed among the children of Israel.’ And the high priest said, ‘Joseph, fear the Lord your God and remember what God did to Dathan and Abiron and Kore, how the earth split open and swallowed them because of their rebellion. Now fear God, Joseph, so that these things do not happen in your house.’ Fearing God, Joseph took her into his own possession.”

We’re not trying to be critical of this- we’re trying to point out that we can’t judge a society using our own cultural norms especially when Aisha was clearly happy with the Prophet.

So dude! Do you feel relief, that more women than men in hell?

Yeah it is absolutely true, that the facebook has makes our world become much 'smaller', don't you think so? Ok, now close your eyes and imagine, you are far away from your friends, yet you know, what's she/he's up to, maybe their activities just by go to their page or perhaps greet them on chat box and start a cozy conversation with them. Also you will know what's they did on facebook, like playing a game, or preaching on religion, commenting on photos and even their relationship status (Opsss).

So who am I, not to bump on my friend's recent post(error:unsuitable words used, lol)? I was so happy to read on one of my schoolmate's page when she mentions her willingness to change and starts adopting Islam in her life, I mean in a serious way, she wants to practice deen, I know, I did nothing or contribute anything for that but really I am happy. She posted the hadith about women's aurah, then as usual people starts commenting on the post, I read the following comments and one guy stated that Prophet Muhammad SAW had given a statistic of women and men in hell, so the ration is 10 women:1men in hell and  2 women :1 men in heaven. I was shocked to read about the ratio, because I never heard about it before, yes I've heard one hadith about women in hell-fire:
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet said: “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful.” It was asked, “Do they disbelieve in Allah?” (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, ‘I have never received any good from you.” Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 28.
*The hadith did not stop at were women! but were women who were ungrateful. It does make different, isn't it?

We know that we can't simply approach the hadith without some understanding of its context. There is a thorough field of studies called Hadith Studies and  scholars, past and present, have devoted their entire lives to memorizing, understanding, classifying, authenticating, tracing, and commenting on the thousands of traditions associated with the Prophet, Muhammad SAW. Ordinary people like us have no business taking one hadith and running to the races with it. If we’re confused about a hadith, then we should go to an expert and ask him/her what it means. So I asked one ustadh about this ratio(Also in fb, oh thanks Allah) , is there any hadith on this, because I knew he's studying and preaching to many places on hadith.
Guess what was the answer?
Dundururumdum *Drum roll*.
He gives a very simple and clear answer:

1. I myself not sure where the ration come from

2. There is a hadith about majority of women were in hell-fire because of their bad-doings but this also applies for men. So there's no exception, if you did not obey whether you are a women or men, you'll be punished by hell-fire
3. Women is always more than men in term of quantity since before until now, based on the statistic.
So the certain thing is, someone will be thrown into hell-fire because of their sins and not their gender.
It's as clear as crystal! and hey this is one hadith in THOUSANDS. Look how many hadith that speak positively of women and remind men to honor women especially the ones that deal with motherhood. Take a peek on this hadith:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
A man came to Allah’s Apostle and said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me?” The Prophet said, “Your mother.” The man said. “Who is next?” The Prophet said, “Your mother.” The man further said, “Who is next?” The Prophet said, “Your mother.” The man asked for the fourth time, “Who is next?” The Prophet said, “Your father. “
[Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 73, Number 2]
and there are other hadith that indicate a plentitude of women in Paradise. For example:
Muhammad reported that some (persons) stated with a sense of pride and some discussed whether there would be more men in Paradise or more women. It was upon this that Abu Huraira reported that Abu’l Qasim (the Holy Prophet) (may peace be upon him) said: The (members) of the first group to get into Paradise would have their faces as bright as full moon during the night, and the next to this group would have their faces as bright as the shining stars in the sky, and every person would have two wives and the marrow of their shanks would glimmer beneath the flesh and there would be none without a wife in Paradise.
[Muslim, Book 040, Number 6793]

Seems like this was a topic of debate even in the early days of Islam and the scholars frequently explain that hadiths like these can apply to both gender. Of course, there are also ungrateful husbands and of course many women have suffered at their husbands’ hands. However, this hadith is addressing specific situations where women are in the wrong.  So you may say that based on the first hadith i mentioned above, women was surpressed because they can't complain on their husbands?

Well, women certainly have the right to voice their grievances. Isn’t there an entire chapter of the Qur’an called al-Mujadilah(click to check)? This surah is the 58th chapter in the Qur’an and it is devoted to the story of a woman who came to the Prophet Muhammad SAW and complained about her husband. The Prophet did not tell this woman that she was going to Hell. Instead, he listened to her, and Allah Most High revealed verses directly addressing this woman’s situation and condemning the husband for his unacceptable behavior.

Also bear in mind, that The Qur'an gives women spiritual parity with men in terms of their status before Allah, their religious obligations, and the recompense of their deeds. The pleasures of paradise, including pure and righteous companions, are not exclusively for men. Allah says in Surat al-Baqarah verse 25,

"But give glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is Gardens, beneath which rivers flow. Every time they are fed with fruits there-from, they say: "Why, this is what we were fed with before," for they are given things in similitude; and they have therein companions pure (and holy); and they abide therein (for ever)."

So dude, dont shout it loud arrogantly that women will be more than men in hell-fire or dare to yell at your wife "obey or HELL" when you yourself, did not set your foot on Masjid except on Friday!

May Allah guides us all.

Peace out, have a nice day :)
