Do we really need religion?

Dude, why do we need religion in our life? Isn't it makes your life difficult? Yeah to obey all the rules and so on, come on we are in this modern era, we learn and know morality, we know humanity very well, we practice good lifestyle so why do we need religion to tell us what to do and what not to? We can live our life freely as long as we don't disturb others, isn't it reasonable? We are in our religion by chance, I mean because our parents are in that religion we are happened to be the follower as well, we follow religion blindly!

Ok now you said you didn't need religion in your life because you know morality and humanity very well, let me ask you, who will determine whether the deeds are good or bad? Like morality, it could be very subjective, it may different from time to time, for example in modesty one of morality, a covered woman in Hijab say that non Hijab woman as immodest and a woman with no Hijab say that a woman with less clothes as immodest and a woman with less clothes will say that a woman in bikini as immodest and a woman in bikini will say that a nude woman is immodest. You have to remember, this is the point of view people of this era, how about the next generation, they may have another point of view in modesty. So which opinion is right in this situation? Can we say all of them is right? Who to tell them what modesty is? Who will determine which one is good for them, whether to cover themselves or not?

We need to go back to the very basic and simple principle that we are the creation of the Most Great Creator, the one and only God, Allah. He did not simply created us and put us on Earth with no guidance, because He created us so He knows what do we need in our life, He tells us our purpose of life so that we will not ruin ourselves and others. He, Allah has the right to tell us what to do and what not to, so He gives us the manual which is Islam as a guidance, it makes our life organize and beautiful. We worship Him the way He wants us to, not the way we want to because He's the creator. Just like a car, the creator will also creates the manual along with it and if the user doesn't follow the manual, what do you think will happen?Yes,eventually the car will broken and who's suffering here? THE USER, and who to put the blame on, is it the CREATOR of the car or the USER? Yes again, the USER. Isn't it logic enough?

Yes, we are given the ability to think and analyze, so use this precious gift to find the WISDOM behind all the commands and rules. If we are born as Muslim BY CHANCE because our parents are Muslim, that's not an excuse to LEARN and GAIN knowledge, don't follow blindly, go into the flow and feel the beautiful sense when you follow religion because you are aware. We don't need to be instant perfect Muslim, we may take time, keep improve ourselves because Allah look into the effort even if it only the size of the seeds. Be a Muslim by choice not by chance, change the way you look at religion, look at it as God's love and gift for us not as a difficulties. Only with that we will find the wisdom behind all the command that the little discomfortness and difficulties at the beginning is nothing compared to the benefits we gained by practicing Islam. The research shown that psychologically, religion is the source of hope and optimist, it promotes good feelings of belongingness, it can boost our self-esteem and provides protection from existential threat. Which means it is good for our health!  Well, mentally and physically. So what are we waiting for? Ask yourself!

A 'Special' Call?

Well, the real honey :D

I guess, I can't help it, I need to spill it out here. Well ladies please consider this, I think logically, a 'special' call like 'honey' or 'baby' or 'sayang'  is just for your husband not for your boyfriend. Your husband deserved it because, he gives his words to:

1. Gives full commitment on you
2. Protects you from any harms
3. Guides and help you in your daily life
4. Provides you a shelter, foods and compassions

So, do you think your boyfriend deserved that 'special' call just because he said:

1. He loves you more then anything in this world?
2. He misses you every breath he takes?
3. He has no secrets upon you even a very private things?
4. He will marry you definitely one day?

well I don't think so and you know, deep in your little heart, none of it was assured. He may not married you because of so many reasons, yes we don't know what will happened in a future, it may goes another way around from what we expected. I used to read or heard a case where the boyfriend beats his girlfriend or in an extreme case even murdered his girlfriend, so gross! are you serious lady, to marry that kind of person he? He don't even your husband yet but he treated you so badly and you can forget about that 'chauvinistic' part of him after 5 minutes when he told you that he actually love you damn much? OMG, don't be silly! so preserved it to your husband for whatever 'special' things you have got, he's the one that deserved your best not your boyfriend, don't give a very special treats to 'random' guy just because he keeps spill out all sweet words and promises to you, be wise, moderate and modest. We know, sometimes we just can't control everything and it just happened, but we have to give a shot, don't blame on others, you choose it to be that way. Well, just a general reminder for you and me the choice is of course yours.

Ok that's it for now, hey I need to rest so have a good day ahead buddies! Oh and credit to my  friend, that actually mentioned about this thing, about a muslimah that posted on her fb, mentioned her bf, and said something like 'sayang'(Honey, darling) and 'rindu' to __________ (The bf) publicly?  Oh please, i need a fresh air!

Today in History

DJ: Ok ladies and gentlemen, ready for the next challenge! For today, I will give you a question on the history, well don't worry, it's a real easy question that will give you a chance to hold a thousand bucks in your hand!
DUndururum dum! Drum roll!
So the question is......................................
In what year, Tiger Woods' sex scandal with some women was released? Easy right, ok give me a shot, I'm right here waiting for your call folks!
What?!!! OMG, I can't believe this, since when Tiger Woods' XXX scandal has become a history? So if I don't know, means that I was out-of-dated person or maybe you can call me hillbilly? I was startled with the question and pinch my cheek to make sure I'm not dreaming! What a world, there's so many other remarkable history to be highlighted but why they choose this one? It's nothing to do with us malaysian people or Muslim, Tiger Woods' lifestyle or other people's scandal never give any impacts on ours either good or bad, why do we have to give much attention on such things? By the way, did you know that  June 5th 1967 is The Six-Day War in Middle East, I just knew it too LOL

5th June 1967 : The Six-Day War begins when Israel launches simultaneous attacks against Egypt and Syria, Jordan also joined the fray, but the Arab coalition was no match for Israel's proficient armed forces. In six days of fighting, Israel occupied the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, the Golan Heights of Syria, and the West Bank and Arab sector of East Jerusalem, By the time the United Nations cease-fire took effect on June 11, Israel had more than doubled its size.

Or maybe this is a boring fact, so I'll give you something more interesting,  June 5th 2008 is one chapter of the series of fluctuating petrol prices in Malaysia. So on June 5th 2008 the petrol prices were increased from RM 1.58 per liter to RM 2.581 per liter for Diesel, from RM 1.92/liter to RM2.704/liter for RON97 and from RM 1.88/liter to RM 2.62/liter for RON95 and now RM 2.70/ liter for RON97. Ok I know, it is not really historic, whatever, it's better than to remember other's historical scandal's date, isn't it? Well ok, up to you guys, to make anything as history of your life, even the day you are listening to such question on air, could be a history!

Have a great day ahead.

Why should I believe in God?

Assalamualaykum...good day everyone!

Why should I believe in God? Does God really exists?

First off, don't go crazy when someone throw those questions straight on your face because they maybe really want to find the truth and if you have this kind of questions in your mind whether you are Muslim or non-muslim, don't go to Shaikh Google, yes I know, he is always available, very easy to access but please don't. Shut down your laptop, open the source that will give you absolute answer from the God's words which is the Quran (With translation if you don't understand arabic), it may just cost you less than 50bucks, you can cut your weekly movie spends or your monthly shopping mania or the most easy way is just to go to the nearest Masjid and find the holy Book there for FREE! So here is some points to be pondered on from brother Abdul Rahman Murphy and Nouman Ali Khan. I tell you, it worth listening!

The Most Wanted Man Died?

Rest In Peace
Innalillahi wa innaIllaihi Raji'un, (We belong to Allah and to Him we return), al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden was died, killed by the US forces, it's a real hot news, wasn't it, even I am not certain if this news is not a fake? Everyone talked about it, massive updates in facebook, twitter and all newspapers. We know that, numerous people was died along the mouse-and-cat game, future of so many people were ruined for one man and they make it like, Osama was represented the whole Muslim, as if he did violent, other Muslims are surely did the same. Yes, it's a combo set, blind prejudice, crazy hatred gazing head-to-toe and unfair judgement towards Muslims and Obama called it as a justice, they said it was a great victory and they decided to burry his body at the sea, was Osama really died or was he really existed! Some even said, Osama's photo was unprofessionally photoshopped to make he look death.

But something just crossed in my mind. So, what's next after the death of Obama Osama? It's a good news if Osama Obama pull out his army of the Afghanistan and Iraq, stop the force and leave Islamic countries alone, as there is no reason to stay because the mouse was died, but will he? And if there is a bomb suicidal case happens anywhere or if any building crash by the  Jet with no pilot inside,  will they pointed it out to al-Qaeda or Muslims? Oh wait! Or maybe a new black-sheep terrorist will arise and US can use him to proceed their agenda on Muslim countries? Who know what will happen next? Allahuala'lam, only Allah knows. Well, wait and see.

RIP Obama Osama bin Laden. Look, Osama,Obama,Osama,Obama,Osama,Obama! OMG quite a confusing name though, even the news reporter mistakenly mentioned that Obama is dead!

Well, Only Allah knows the truth and only Him will gives the justice to all. We are all gonna meet in hereafter, and there the truth will be revealed and no bodies can escape not even the most wealthy or the most powerful person on earth.

Where is Allah?

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with ALLAH, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....
Prof : So you believe in ALLAH?
Student: Absolutely, sir.

Prof: Is ALLAH good?
Student: Sure.

Prof: Is ALLAH all-powerful?
Student: Yes.

Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to ALLAH to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But ALLAH didn't. How is this ALLAH good then? Hmm?
Student is silent.

Prof: You can't answer, can you?
Let's start again, young fellow. Is ALLAH good?
Student: Yes.

Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.

Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...ALLAH. .

Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.

Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And ALLAH did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.

Prof: So who created evil?
Student does not answer.

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.

Prof: So, who created them?
Student has no answer.

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen ALLAH?
Student: No, sir.

Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your ALLAH?
Student: No, sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your ALLAH, tasted your ALLAH, smelt your ALLAH? Have you ever had any sensory perception of ALLAH for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your ALLAH doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof: Yes Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Now the student said can I ask something to you Professor.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.

Student: No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?

Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something.
You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light... But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good ALLAH and a bad ALLAH. You are viewing the concept of ALLAH as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir... The link between man and ALLAH is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving and alive. .

Reasons to know

This is the DVD cover with striking photographs and a 'special' message from Geert Wilders, who came to America with an urgent and terrifying warning: "Islam is on verge of conquering the West" and I guess almost everyone of us have seen his documentary entitled 'Fitna'. Well Mr Wilders, if it is true as you claimed Islam is a terrorist religion, I certain that you are not living and freely spread your message to the world while you knew  the fact that  estimated 5 million Muslims living in the United States and 1.2 billion Muslims in the world!

If it is true that Sept. 11 were typical of the faith, and Islam truly inspired and justified such violence, its growth and the increasing presence of Muslims in both Europe and the U.S. would be a terrifying prospect. So we come to this question, why are those people choose and adopt this so called "terrorist religion"(As they claimed) even after Sept. 11? Well, its simply because they explore and study Islam thoroughly and find out what Islam really is
. Within Islam it is both legitimate and right to ask the question: "Why Islam?" Every tenet in Islam is subject to analysis and contention and Allah invites the question as to "why Islam?". So here are 11 reasons for you to explore Islam:

Yes we need a good reason

1. Rational System

Islam is also a rational system which not only allows questions but raises knowledge to a new level of dignity and respect. No other religion has exalted knowledge and its pursuit, as has Islam. In fact, for the first time in human history, a religious book invited people to question the creation of the universe and stated that in it (the universe) were signs for people of knowledge. Everything in Islam is subject to rational pursuit.

Islam has only forbidden the questioning of one thing and this is something which reason cannot handle. However, this does not imply an anti-intellectual attitude. The only thing which Islam has said is not within the capacity of the human mind to question is the essence (dhat) of God. This will always escape a person, as He, Allah, is transcendent. However, His will, His purpose, His works, His intentions and His effects can be known.

Even the rites of Islam can be examined rationally. For example, logical and rational explanations can be made for the time of Prayer, the number of rakats or units in Prayer and even why we must bend our toes when we do. Of course the Muslim will always be aware that the answer he has obtained by rational enquiry is not exhaustive. It cannot be definitely accepted as explaining all the facts. It could be erroneous or incomplete. However, Islam encourages its followers to ask "why Islam?". Islam is an intellectual and historical religion. There are no secrets and no mysteries which cannot be understood by an ordinary person.

2. Easily Understandable

Islam does not present stumbling blocks to the mind. It does not make claims which overwhelm the mind. Islam does not present to a person that which the human intellect cannot grasp. Anyone can understand Islam as it is a universal religion. However, for example, Hinduism legitimizes idolatry for the less educated, as it says, not all people can understand the higher religion of the Brahmans.

3. Universal Message

Islam does not force a person to choose between various religions as it has included the essential teachings of all religions in its universal message. The Islamic concept is that, to every people, Allah sends a Messenger and that in their present religion or ideology they must have retained some kernel of truth from the original teachings of that religion which was, of course, the teachings of the primordial religion (deen al-fitra) or, in other words, Islam.

Islam views inter-religious dialogue as an internal discussion, not as a discussion with outsiders because, from its perspective, all mankind are members of a universal religious brotherhood. So the differences Islam has with other religions are regarded as internal differences. Of course, Islam criticizes some Jews and Christians who have wrongly interpreted their faith, however, this criticism is based on the fact that they have strayed from the original teachings of their religion.

Islam, therefore, was the first religion in the world to call for the critical examination of religious texts. The Muslim says, in effect, to other religions: "Let us together examine the Holy Books of our religions and compare the contents with the original teachings of our respective religions and examine how far we have adhered to, or gone astray from these original teachings." Muslims, therefore, never attack other religions.

4. Religious Tolerance

Islam is tolerant of other religions and regards them as religiously legitimate or de jure. In accepting other religions as legitimate, Islam, therefore, accepts their adherents. No other religion has given equal treatment to other religions as has Islam for over 1400 years. As we well know, Judaism and Roman Catholicism were illegal in the time of Queen Elizabeth I. In Spain under Ferdinand and Isabella, it was illegal to have any religion other than Catholicism, and Muslims and Jews had to choose baptism, exile or death. In the Middle East, some Christian sects, which were brutally eliminated by their fellow Christians in Europe, have survived after fourteen centuries of Muslim rule. Secular regimes do not respect religion. They look down upon religion; either they believe any religion will do or they believe no religion is acceptable. The tolerance of other religions in Islam comes from respect because Islam says in every person there is an embryonic fitra or purity planted in all human beings at birth and in every religion there is a basic kind of the original deen al-fitra.

5. The Human Being's Innocence

Islam declares a person to be born with a clean slate. The human being was not born evil but rather he was created good and equipped by nature to fulfill his duties. From the Islamic point of view, the drama of a person's life is something that takes place after birth and not before. Islam does not record a human being as a degradation of the divine as it regards a human being as having instincts which are pure and good.

6. The Human Being: An Integral Whole

Islam does not divide the soul and life of a person into two compartments, i.e. religious or ethical and verbal or material. Islam regards the human being as an integral whole. All of his actions and instincts are part and parcel of his being together with his hopes, fears, certitude, faith and conviction. Islam wants all these to cohere and, therefore, we could say that Islam is mental health par excellence. Islam considers a person's work or even sex in this world as an act of worship.

7. Life Filled With Purpose and Meaning

Islam takes the world of life and existence seriously, declaring it to be full of meaning and purpose. Life is not a sport, nor is it purposeless. From the Islamic perspective, everything has meaning because the concept of God's purpose in creation gives meaning to human life. The Muslim is never bored with life; there is no existential anxiety in Islam. The Muslim can see the working of the good purposes of the divine Creator in everything. The Muslim lives in a world where life is full of meaning and purpose and this means the Muslim never looses his mental balance. In fact, mental illness is very rare in the Muslim community.

8. World-Affirmative

Islam is world-affirmative. For the Muslim the world is good. It is a blessing, it has been created good, to be enjoyed. Islam does not view the world as a demon, it is not valued as being satanic or evil. It is not a degraded kingdom. The world is the only kingdom; the hereafter is not a kingdom but merely a place of Judgment for a human person's actions during his life. For Muslims, the world is a beautiful place; pearls, clothes and horses are to be enjoyed. What is wrong, is its misuse under moral law. The world is good and Muslims are obliged to cultivate it and make it into a garden. The process of organizing people as a community is a religious duty.

No 'ism', ideology or religion matches Islam in its world-affirmative stance. All Muslims should be wealthy and affluent. It is Satan who promises poverty, not God. In fact, the Qur'an criticizes those who were lazy and who failed to migrate, who could not pull themselves up by their bootstraps; they deserved what they got. To be a Muslim is to live in and to be loyal to this world but not above and beyond our loyalty to Allah.

9. A Social Faith

In building this world and conforming it to God's desire, Muslims are told that they must work with each other and not alone. Islam establishes a social order not a mystical order. Islam's social order has teeth, regulated by law, the Shariah. Islam wants to establish a social order to command the good and prevent the evil. However, every Muslim must correct evil. It is his duty, just as much as it is his duty to pray five times a day.

In Islam, it is of the highest degree of faith to plunge into space and time and bring about the transformation of the world in accordance with God's desire. Islam is affirmative action in a social setting; it is neither abstract nor isolationist. Islam establishes justice and an ordered society, regulated by law. Islam guarantees justice for all; Madinah was that class of model society. In those days justice had no price. For several centuries under Islamic rule any citizen who voiced a complaint could be sure that justice would be done. No theory of society can give as much as the Islamic theory of society has given. Society, based on race, language or history are prototypes of the animal world where dog eats dog. The social order of Islam ends this and brings justice to all. A Muslim's mission is to bring order and this international society established by Islam must be carried to the world and, therefore, the Islamic social order seeks universality.

10. Universal System

Islam provides a social order which cannot only tend to be universal but must become universal. The Islamic system is a system for world order and it must spread around the world. Unless it is spread around the world, it will degenerate into a form of nationalism which is haram or unlawful in Islam. Islam is built on the basis of values which are not only for the group which adheres to them, but for the whole of mankind. Allah is the deity of all people and the Islamic concept of society must spread all over the world.

Does Islam deny the value of national, ethnic or linguistic identity and culture? No! Islam recognizes the worth of these national and ethnic groups. Islam does not only tolerate but encourages the development of different ethnic groups. The group has a special perspective on the values affecting people's lives. Insofar as it exists, national culture is encouraged by Islam, but it is subject to the universal law of Allah. The interests of the nation or group must be subject to the moral law, the Shariah, which encompasses the whole of mankind. Islam created a world society and it was Islam, over 1400 years ago, that first established a working system of international law.

It was only in the 20th century that the West started to develop international law. Grotius contributed only wishful thinking. In the West, international law existed only in the imagination until after World War I when the League of Nations was established. The present system of international law is far inferior to the Islamic system of international law because, under the Islamic system, the law of nations is backed by a court and not just a single court in the Hague. Any Shariah court in any part of the world can hear any international dispute to which the parties are not only nations but also individuals. If we want to solve international problems we must make justice under international law possible for everyone.

11. Promoting Harmony With The Environment

Islam is a religion that enables us to live our lives in harmony with nature, ourselves and God. Islam does not compartmentalize but rather unites the life of a person. This is the summum bonum, supreme good of Islam because Islam assures us of happiness in this world and the Next. Presently, people are so madly in pursuit of this world that it has resulted in upsetting the ecology of nature; this because of the decay in the inner nature of human beings. In this age of unprecedented advancements in science and technology, the pursuit of worldly gain has turned sour and self-destructive because it is devoid of all ethical values.

Therefore the pursuit of dunya (worldly affairs) without Deen can only lead to, and has led to, disaster. On the other hand, pursuit of Deen (religion) without dunya (temporal world) is merely daydreaming. Islam asks people to cultivate the world without robbing, usury, stealing and raping the environment and insists that people must carry out their tasks subject to moral law. For the Muslim, involvement and success in the world will ensure success in the hereafter. If practiced with sincerity, Islam guarantees happiness in this world and the next. Having granted this great gift of God to humanity what else could we do but say 'we hear and we obey and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.'

Momma, why we can't see the God?

I tried to find Him on the Christian cross,
but He was not there;

I went to the temple of the Hindus and to the old pagodas,
but I could not find a trace of Him anywhere…

I searced on the mountains and in the valleys
but neither in the heights nor in the depthswas I able to find Him.

I went to the Ka’bah in Mecca,
but He was not there either…

I questioned the scholars and philosophers
but He was beyond their understanding…

Then I looked into my heart and it was there
where He dwelled that I saw Him,
He was nowhere else to be found…

So,what color are you?

I love this photo! Other than cute, it is so meaningful. The picture shows that Islam unites people around the world, no matter what's color you are or what's language you used to speak and yeah, Islam not considering race or lineage as determining factors in distinguishing people.

"O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women." (The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 4(An-Nisa'): Verse 1)

"And it is a sign of Allah that he created the heavens and the earth And He created the diversity of languages and colors" [The Holy Qur'an,Chapter 30 (Ar-Rum) : Verse 30;22]

However, its criterion is piety and righteousness. Allah Almighty says:

'O mankind! We have created you from a single male and female and made you into nations and tribes so that you may know each other. The most honorable of you in the sight of Allah are surety the righteous." [The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 49 (Al-Hujurat) : Verse 13]

Even the Prophet's companions after embracing Islam, they called themselves Muslims. Only Muslims. They're so cool, don't you think so?  They never differentiated themselves from any other Muslim who is from different race even there were some companions who were non-Arabs, like Suhayb, who is from Rome , He did not address himself as Roman Muslim. Neither did Bilal(r.a). Did he call himself as African or Abisynian Muslim? No!

They are nothing but names which you yourselves have given, you and your forefathers. God has sent down no authority for them. They are following nothing but conjecture and what their own selves desire. And that when guidance has reached them from their Lord! [The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 53 (An-Najm) : Verse 23]

Once there's a man visited the Prophet's masjid in Madinah. He saw a group of people sitting and discussing their faith together. So he went to join the conversation. Among them were Salman (who came from Persia,Iran now ), Suhayb who grew up in the Eastern Roman empire and was regarded as a Greek, and Bilal who was an African. The man then said:

"If the (Madinan) tribes of Aws and Khazraj support Muhammad, they are his people (that is, Arabs like him). But what are these people doing here?"

The Prophet was so upset when this was reported to him. Straightaway, he went to the masjid and summoned people to a Salat. He then addressed them saying:

"O people, know that the Lord and Sustainer is One. Your ancestor is one, your faith is one. The Arabism of anyone of you is not from your mother or father. It is no more than a tongue (language). Whoever speaks Arabic is an Arab."
(As quoted in Islam The Natural Way by Abdul Wahid Hamid p. 125

Other then this, there are many hadith, which repeatedly strike on the Arab pride of jahiliyyah. Arabs before Islam used to look down upon others especially blacks people. The Prophet repeatedly contrasted the believing Africans versus non-believing Arab nobles.

The Prophet said: You should listen to and obey your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian slave whose head looked like a raisin (Bukhari).
Now lets ponder on this: When the Muslims conquered Makkah, victorious after years of persecution, then war with the non-believing Quraysh, the Prophet went straight to the Kaba. This was the height of the victory of Islam. He brought some other Muslims with him. He could have chosen only Muslims from the Quraysh, people of his own ethnic and tribal background. He also could have chosen only Arabs or only those of the old noble classes.
But two of the people who entered the Kaba with the Prophet were Bilal ibn Rabah and Zaid ibn Haritha. Bilal, an African and a former slave. Zaid was also not of high status from the tribal Quraysh point of view. Then entered a Qurayshi, Abdullah bin Omar, may Allah be pleased with all of them. On this day of victory, success and happiness was for all Muslims, no matter who they were or where they come from.

It is confirmed in the narration of the two freedmen among the Companions who quarreled, whereupon each one hurled at the other the name of his ethnic origin by way of insult, namely: "You Copt!" and "You Abyssinian!" Hearing this, the Prophet (saws) said to them: "Stop this, for you are now both from Aal(family) Muhammad." (Abu al-Yusr `Abidin _al-Qawl al-Wathiq fi Amr al-Raqiq_ citing al-Sayyid al-Hifni's _ al-Jawahir al-Hisan fi Tarikh al-Habashan)

'The Prophet said: 'Indeed my friends and allies are not the tribe of so and so. Rather, my friends and allies are the pious wherever they may be.'

Can you imagine if the Prophet and his companions just care about their tribe, Islam would never reach your country, it will just stay in Arab land and for Arabs. Does it makes sense to you? We are Muslim, we are brothers and sisters by Aqidah. Support each other, love each other by recommend good deeds and avoid bad deeds. Never look down to others as you don't know, he/she might be much better than you in Allah's sight. Allahua'lam.

Almost undeniable similarity among Muslims

Momma aren't we look exactly same?

"Eeuuuuuwww...It's so disgusting!" That's our reaction when pigs were mentioned, isn't it? " It's like a hysterical hatred package in a person called as Muslim.Well this is called as Porkophobia
"Porkphobia describes a syndrome that includes many symptoms such as severe disgust, waves of nausea with occasional vomiting or increased heart rates and sweating when Muslims encounter pork or pigs. Importantly, these reactions do not require the ingestion of pork, they are even observed when Muslims see pork or pigs. In more severe forms of porkophobia, the mere image of a pig on TV or the realization that one has touched pig skin leather elicits similar reactions of revulsion. This severe form of porkophobia is not restricted to Muslims growing up in pig-free Muslim countries, but is also found amongst Muslims living in countries where pork is commonly eaten and pigs are used as important farm animals."
Yes I have to admit, it become a phenomenon among Muslim community. Since at the early age, our parents told us, we can't eat pork, it's a dirty animals, it is haraam and we obey this straightforward dietary law from Quran, so easily. It has been instilled into our subconscious minds thus prevents us from even considering to eat pork. I have to agree that this strategy is very efficient. It become a whole culture of disgust among Muslim, but the question is, why have other Islamic prohibitions not lead to a culture of disgust? How about adultery, alcohol, black magic and riba'? Those are Haraam in Islam, it's clearly mentioned in Quran, but you can see how many Muslims are commit those sins with free feeling of disgust?

One would simply says, "I don't eat swine, it's prohibited in my religion." and at same time he visit Haraam pub, drink a bottle of alcohol and commit adultery without feeling any guilty or disgusting like he was digesting pork. Does avoidance of consuming pork will make us more Muslims? Well, it's not, avoidance of pork is not difficult as even in Southern Germany (Heartland of pork sausage), one can easily avoid consuming pork. So whats make us different from the kuffar, if we don't eat pork but we still commit others Haraam things?

Furthermore, avoidance of pork is not part of the five pillars of Muslim faith and it has never been a central message of Islam. It's not defining a characteristic of Islam. The phenomenon of porkophobia has given a dietary law such a high level. I don't mean to say that we should stop avoiding consume pork or we should take it easy, but my point is, Muslims could perhaps consider to use the power of revulsion to deliver ideas that are more central to Islam rather than the mere avoidance of pork.

Why we not develop a similar culture of revulsion towards others Haraam things? It would be great if Muslim felt a porkophobia-like revulsion  when involved in others major sins like adultery, riba', gambling, bribery an so forth. Seemed like we took Porkophobia  as a convenient way for us to "feel Muslim," by building up a whole culture around a dietary law. So, fear Allah, avoid all Haraams in Islam, seek knowledge and understand our Deen. By that, enjoy our journey to get closer to Allah and keep Islam not only as our name but as our way of life, inshaallah.

Momma where is our dress? Aww..they're just so adorable, mashaallah!

P/S: Yes, it's almost undeniable similarity among Muslim, Muslim don't fight on pork matters, all agree and obey, alhamdulillah. I guess, I was also a porkophobia but not so chronic! euuww!! Have a blessed day ahead.
